Teraforming Self

Strictly speaking,
I am a valley of self.
Between mountains of ego,
And a spring of spirituality.
My goal is that some day
This valley becomes flooded
With the waters of love and truth.
The process is slow and systematic,
but that spring that was once an oasis,
Is quickly turning this place
Into a sweltering jungle.
In time all that will remain are the pure waters
Of a lake so clear,
One can see the remains of that oasis,
That served my sanctuary.
